Vietrade, Alibaba.com partner to help firms with online exports - Economy - Vietnam News | Politics, Business, Economy, Society, Life, Sports

Update: March, 17/2021 - 14:24 |   HÀ NỘI The Việt Nam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) and Alibaba.com, the global business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce platform of the Alibaba Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on supporting Vietnamese firms to boost online export and organised an international e-commerce conference in Hà Nội on Tuesday. Under the MoU, Alibaba.com pledged to provide technical assistance in digital transformation for trade promotion organisations and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of Việt Nam. Meanwhile, Vietrade, an agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), is committed to working with Alibaba.com to improve the digital transformation and e-commerce capacity of the targeted groups. They are set to continue organising a series of capacity building events to benefit more than 1,200 businesses nationwide in the next three years.

Colonel Lê Văn Anh, head of the Province Border Guard Command’s COVID-19 Prevention and Control Committee, said that during the complex development of the COVID-19 pandemic, local border guards strengthened preventive measures, especially communication.

Update: March, 15/2021 - 08:44 | The Kim Đồng Publishing House has released a book collection portraying Vietnamese heroes at a young age to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union. Photo courtesy of the publisher HCM CITY Kim Đồng Publishing House, one of Việt Nam’s leading publishing houses for children and teenagers books, has issued a collection of 10 books portraying Vietnamese heroes at young age. The publication celebrates the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) on March 26. The collection consists of books, photo books and comic books featuring the career and life of revolutionaries and soldiers who devoted their youth to fight for the country’s peace, reunification, and independence during two resistance wars.

VNA/VNS Photo HÀ NỘI  The US Agency for International Development (USAID) has for the first time awarded a prime construction contract to a local Vietnamese contractor for its Dioxin Remediation at Biên Hoà Airbase Area project. Though Vietnamese companies have been involved in USAID dioxin remediation work in both the Da Nang Airport remediation and Biên Hòa Airbase remediation projects until now they have been subcontractors of American firms. Through this contract, several on and off-base areas with high levels of dioxin contamination will be environmentally remediated, including areas of high traffic posing greater exposure risks. The contractor will also construct a long-term storage facility for excavated soil, as well as an access road and fencing.
