The Preservation Society of Newport County announced it has appealed a federal agency’s decision in approving a wind farm project off the coast of Rhode Island.
Revolution Wind announced that it has received the final approval from a federal agency, which will allow the project to start offshore wind construction.

A 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck near the Blanchard area, northwest of Shreveport, in Caddo Parish about 2:30 a.m., multiple news outlets reported.
According to the reports, there was very little to no shaking. No damage or injuries were reported.

The USGS said the quake was about five kilometers underground, but could be felt by some residents. Marylou Lindle lives in a double-wide mobile home in a subdivision in Blanchard. She told KTBS-TV that when the quake struck, she thought someone was breaking into her home.
