life, it could have been as far as we know the details that we have so much worse. katie: when you talk about finding out on air the families. rachel campos duffy is part of our family. harris: we didn t know she was on that train. she actually talked about how she was going back to wisconsin to get her eight kids. they were going to this retreat this weekend. it was going to be a fun, family event with her husband who, of course, is a congressman. so, i didn t realize she was going to be on this train either. this was probably a very exciting day for her and her children. harris: sandra, have you got something. sandra: we want to go to congressman jason lewis republican. thank you for calling. in we are told that you have been injured in this collision. well, not severely i don t think. a little bit of a whiplash and maybe a tiny bit of a concussion. but i m fine compared to what s happened tragically to the one truck driver and another, actually two. one i have been told
it s a chance to get away, reset and bond for these folks. and it starts off with this tragic, jarring moment. not just for members but their families and in many cases their children who were on this train coming down here this afternoon. and, garrett, what we heard earlier from congressman byrnes is that there are young children as well. is not senator flake s son who is 18 but some of the younger children as well. there s trauma for them. joining us now is congressman dan donovan from staten island, new york member. first of all, congressman, thank you for calling in and how are you doing? i m fine, andrea. thank you so much. everybody has been so concerned about us, most of the people on the train are fine. banged up a little bit, jolted out of their seats.
the aftermath. and what are people saying? how is this community doing? really and truly, i think they re pretty much in shock. trar trying to normalize their lives a little bit as they re drinking water, they re having a piece of pizza, that kind of thing in the community center. a lot of people have come to bring food and drink just to help them through it but they re a lot of them are sitting there kind of on pins and needles kind of waiting to see what the authorities are going to tell them about their loved one because they don t know. so they re there s some sobriety, a lot of that probably here. pastor mike clem ments, thank you very much, we appreciate your time. thoughts and prayers are with you and everybody in that region tonight. you re so welcome and thank you for calling. thank you.
