Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy announces new chief philanthropic advisor

Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy announced the addition of Terry McGowan, of Newton, as chief philanthropic advisor.
In this role, McGowan is responsible for the strategic and targeted development of fundraising initiatives, including building and fostering productive strategic alliances with individual donors, corporations, foundations and other stakeholders to ensure the foundation’s long-term sustainability.

WORLDWIDE – UK – Mark Dickinson has been re-elected as General Secretary of Nautilus International to serve a five year term of office to 2026. Dickinson’s candidacy was unopposed. This will be his fourth term in the role.
UK – Transport union RMT has annoucned that Mick Lynch has been elected as the union s new General Secretary, succeeding Mick Cash. Before being elected as General Secretary, Lynch has been twice elected as RMT Assistant General Secretary and has twice served on the RMT’s National Executive. He is a Trustee Director of the £30 billion Railway Pension Scheme.
Anna Galoni Appointed Ceo Of Canada-Based Thordon Bearings
Anna Galoni has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of bearing and seal specialist Thordon Bearings Inc., a Thomson-Gordon Group company.
Galoni joined the Burlington, Ontario-headquartered company in 2007 after graduating from Queens University with a Masters’ Degree in Epidemiology.
Prior to her appointment in April, she held a number of senior roles in various departments including Human Resources Director, New Product Development Director and, subsequently, Chair, Thordon Bearings – a position she continues to hold.
Her appointment follows the retirement of Terry McGowan, who stepped down after almost 14 years in the CEO role.
