businesses across the area. fox 5 s wisdom martin in culpeper, virginia with more. reporter: we re talking about a lot of damage. we are 37 miles from mineral, virginia, which is the epicenter of this earthquake and this is an example of some of the damage. this is a barbershop and salon. when the earthquake hit, bricks started falling off this old historic building lining the sidewalk. there were people in both the barbershop and salon. then went out the back when they realized the ground was shaking. they didn t realize it was an earthquake until later. they did go out the back and were not injured. downtown culpeper has been shut down for the most part because of the severity of the damage. we re talking about several buildings, three buildings that were condemned because they re just too unstable at this point. we re also talking about at least three churches with very serious damage, one of those a very historic church in downtown called st. stevens episcopal. a lot of
