The Alabama Crimson Tide (7-1, 4-1) took care of business on Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium by beating the Mississippi State Bulldogs (5-3, 2-3) by a pedestrian score of 30-6. The Tide was dominant defensively throughout the evening, keeping the Bulldogs off the scoreboard until the game's final play.
The Crimson Tide is extremely fortunate to have Young at the helm, especially on an evening which it mustered 44 rushing yards (sack adjusted). Without his special ability to direct traffic and find the open men down the field the outcome could have turned out a lot different on this homecoming weekend.
Alabama played the game without Seth McLaughlin, DJ Dale, Justin Eboigbe, Deontae Lawson, Jaheim Oatis and Kendrick Blackshire. The Tide hopes to get its roster healthy as it rolls into the BYE week.
