Wisconsin Badgers senior middle blocker Dana Rettke has been named a finalist for the prestigious Honda Award for Volleyball for the second straight season. The other three finalists for the award are Logan Eggleston from the University of Texas, Madison Lilley of the University of Kentucky and Stephanie Samedy from the University of Minnesota

The Honda Sport Award has been presented annually by the CWSA for the past 45 years to the top women athletes in 12 NCAA- sanctioned sports and signifies “the best of the best in collegiate athletics”. The winner of the individual sport award, which will be decided this week after tabulating votes from each NCAA member school, becomes a finalist for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the prestigious 2021 Honda Cup which will be presented on a telecast on CBS Sports Network, on June 28 at 9 p.m. ET.

Women s college volleyball is back, with games starting on Friday, January 22. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many teams are playing only conference matches, with back-to-back games against the same team. So instead of top games to watch this weekend, we ve got top series to watch.
Here are the two big series I will be watching this weekend:
No. 1 Wisconsin vs. No. 13 Purdue | 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Jan. 22 and 9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 | Big Ten Network

The long awaited 2020-21 women s college volleyball season is finally here. The ACC, Big 12, SEC and Sun Belt conferences began conference play in the fall, but the rest of the conferences, including the Big Ten and Pac-12, will start up Jan. 22.
First, a quick summary of what we know for this season, as of now:
The Pac-12 released its schedule two days ahead of the first weekend of action.
The Big Ten released its schedule in late December.
The AVCA preseason rankings were released on Jan. 5. Wisconsin and Texas are the No. 1 and No. 2 teams.
