There are few players in the women’s game with more experience than Brown.
Brown made her Test debut at the Jillaroos successful 2013 World Cup campaign and was also part of the winning team in 2017.
She helped to establish the Bears as well as the Easts Tigers, has represented the Queensland Maroons in 2012, 2012 and from 2015 onward and has played for several NRLW clubs, including the Sydney Roosters and the Warriors.
Now she has the opportunity to be part of creating a NRLW team. Helping to build a culture at a new club is what I was most excited about and a big reason why I wanted to be part of a new club, Brown said.

Six teams could be lining up in the NRLW this year with the ARL Commission considering expanding the four-club competition for its fourth season.
The Commission met on Friday and discussed the possibility of adding more teams although no final decision has been made.
Further discussions will be held before the competition structure is formalised.
Brisbane will be chasing a fourth straight trophy this season while fellow foundation clubs St George Illawarra and Sydney Roosters are also set to return.
The status of the Warriors, who fielded a team largely made up of Australian-based players last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is yet to be finalised.

For Rota, her latest Tā moko is about family and the patterns within it link to the tribal areas that she is from in New Zealand. On her paternal grandfather’s side, Rota is from Matatā. On her paternal grandmother’s side she is from the northern part of New Zealand near Cape Reinga.
