MORTON A two-vehicle wreck claimed a life Friday afternoon in rural Tazewell County.
Two passenger vehicles were involved in crash on U.S. Route 150 between Morton and Deer Creek, Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley said . Three occupants were in the two vehicles, he said.
At 4 p.m. Friday, he pronounced one of the occupants dead at the scene. The public release of the victim s name is pending notification of family, Hanley said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. The case remains under investigation by Hanley and Illinois State Police.
