The call comes as self-employment numbers continue to fall - by 369,000 since April.
There remains some criticism regarding how the government has tackled the crisis, and its approach to helping the self-employed.
New research undertaken by GoSimpleTax, a self-assessment tax software organisation, has shown the impacts for self-employed.
More than a third of sole traders have called for additional grants to support the sector throughout the pandemic.

PIP is formally known as Personal Independence Payments, providing individuals with a sum of money to assist a variety of needs. However, people who use the scheme should act now to take advantage ahead of an important deadline outlined by the government.
Today is the final day employers will be able to claim for furloughed workers in November, and so it is important to take action.
In November, Britons were able to receive up to 80 percent of their average earnings for hours they were on the scheme, up to the value of £2,500 per month.
Unfortunately, though, it is no longer possible to claim for furloughed hours worked on or before the all-important original deadline of October 31, 2020.

The Economic Affairs Committee today released a 74-page report entitled ‘Time for a New Deal’ in which it questioned the current approach of the Chancellor Rishi Sunak and the government.
The report has called for a new perspective, with a deal to help the country recover from the impacts of the pandemic.
Lord Forsyth, the chair of the committee commented on the matter in the report.
He said: “The government is sleepwalking into an unemployment crisis. This report is trying to save the prospects of a generation of young people.
