Gov Polls: Electoral Body, INEC Announces Governor Sule Winner In Nasarawa, Declares Kebbi Election Inconclusive

The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has won his reelection bid after he was declared the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state. However, Kebbi State governorship election was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday. Professor Tanko Ishaya, the Returning Officer for the governorship election in Nasarawa, declared that Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 347,209 votes to defeat David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Ombugadu polled 283,016 votes.

PDP Accuses Ruling APC Of Conniving With INEC Officials, Security Agents To Manipulate Governorship Election Results In Nasarawa

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of conspiring with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agents to manipulate and alter the governorship election results in Nasarawa State in favour of the PDP candidate. This was stated in a press statement issued by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, PDP National Publicity Secretary, alleging that the APC used police and Civil Defence Corps personnel to cart away election results from two local government areas, Lafia and Awe.
