disagrees with his own national security adviser who is an interventionist, and here you have a president who s an isolationist. you want to talk about afghanistan, et cetera, talk about syria, and so you have and iran. you have a president who disagrees with bolton. if bolton leaves or is fired or resigns, it will be because donald trump says, you know what? i don t like the fact that you disagree with me and i m making the decisions here. and also pompeo has really mastered the art of dealing with donald trump, and i think that bolton is more in your face than pompeo is, and of course, you know, we still don t know whether pompeo is actually going to leave the administration at some point to run for the senate, remember, in the state of kansas. newscastthat s a lot of ques there. we ll have to see how long bolton remains in this administration. there have been so many officials throughout this
syria, either. it doesn t mean they won t talk about syria. people like to jump on every little thing particularly with president trump. he didn t mention election meddling. he will back down. this was a five, six minute quick photo op if you will. they are now behind closed doors, 90 minutes plus. they will have this two-hour working lunch plus so my point being they ll talk about election meddling. bill: john bolton said over the weekend his hand is strengthened after the indictments about bob mueller s team on friday. some people thought the timing of bob mueller right before the summit may be overshadowing it. it is not fake news anymore. donald trump as you suggest can go into this meeting and say look, it s not me, it s the special counsel coming after me and you. he is saying that your intelligence guys were behind this. he won t be able to spend all this time focused on meddling
proliferation, working against organized crime and arms control. we need to extend the start treaty which expires in 2021. those are important negotiations to have come intelligence played an important and overarching role in our relationship with russia but i don t think that will ever change. you could hear mike otto warmbier in his testimony, definitely understands multifaceted. talk about syria and north korea. north korea is a gray area. russia has already talked about ratcheting down sanctions before north korea they would like to remove our troops from the region and stop military exercises so there s some negotiation but they have been helpful in sanctions.
