A number of hospitals in several provinces have had to stop providing services to patients after many of their personnel contracted Covid-19.
Ruam Phaet Chai Nat Hospital in Chai Nat closed yesterday after a hospital employee was infected. The hospital has been thoroughly cleaned and will reopen on May 12. High-risk employees have been quarantined.
The infected employee, 44, contracted the virus from an infected person in Ta Khli district in Nakhon Sawan. He is the 30th and latest case of Covid-19 in Chai Nat.
In Trang, Ratsada Hospital reported six infected hospital personnel, with 12 others waiting for their test results. The hospital and Ratsada Public Health Office were declared maximum-control areas. South Korea, Thailand reach agreement on additional T-50TH trainer jets

South Korean media on Apr. 23, reported that Korea Aerospace Industries, or KAI, and the Thailand government have reached an agreement on the next batch of T-50TH lead-in fighter trainers.
The story was first reported by reporter Min-Seok Kim, which cited industry sources.

NBC poised to kick off first phase

Nakhon Sawan Bio Complex (NBC), Thailand s first biochemical complex, will start its first-phase operation within the first quarter as Global Green Chemicals Plc (GGC), a biochemical arm of PTT Global Chemical Plc, is scheduled to open its factories soon.
GGC, which started construction of 7.5-billion-baht facilities in October 2019, will operate the factories through its subsidiary, GGC KTIS Bio Industrial Co (GKBI), a joint venture with Kaset Thai International Sugar Corporation Plc (KTIS).
This project will be a major economic driver, putting Thailand on the fast track of bio-economic development, according to GGC vice-president Wanlapa Sophiskhaunkhant.

NAKHON SAWAN: A construction worker shot and killed a woman with a gun before shooting himself dead during a drinking session with friends at his house in Ta Khli district on Sunday night.
Police were called to house 35/1 in Moo 4 village in tamb, shortly after 9pm, on Nong Pho, Ta Khli police chief Pol Col Preecha Sanitmuang said.
According to witnesses, Vinai Khamphasri, 53, invited four to five fellow workers, including Chanchira Phuluamsai, 31, a woman he had an affair with, for drinks at his house.
