(CNA photo) The sole winning ticket for the first prize of Wednesday s Grand Lottery, worth over NT$530 million (US$18.7 million), was sold by a lottery store in Taichung, Taiwan Lottery Corp. has announced. The winning amount accumulated to over NT$530 million after rolling over for 17 consecutive draws, and is the fourth largest sum drawn in the lottery since 2014, the lottery company said. The winning ticket was sold by a lottery store on Side Road in Taichung s Wufeng District. It was the second time the store has sold a winning ticket worth over NT$100 million, according to the company. The company said that of the 16 Grand Lottery jackpots that were won in 2020, six went to buyers in Taichung.

Taipei, Feb. 2 (CNA) Three jackpots of NT$20 million (US$714,487) each and more than 600 other prizes in the limited edition of the Lunar New Year scratch card game are still in the pool, Taiwan Lottery Corp. said Tuesday.
Of the 737 prizes, each over NT$1 million, only 97 have already been drawn, Taiwan Lottery General Manager Tsai Kuo-chi (蔡國基) said at a press conference.
Among the 640 prizes still up for grabs are three NT$20 million jackpots and four NT$10 million prizes, he said.

Taipei, Jan. 27 (CNA) A single mother in Taipei recently won NT$1 million (US$34,928) in a scratch card lottery, and she vowed to give back to society once she has paid the medical fees for treatment of her son s heart condition, Taiwan Lottery Corp. said Wednesday.
According to the company, the woman lives near a lottery store on Xinglong Road, which she visits frequently to chat with the employees.
