Mensah is expected to earn some game time for Vitoria Guimaraes
Black Stars defender Gideon Mensah is set to make a return from injury against Tondela in the Portuguese top-flight on Sunday.
The 22-year-old has been missing in action for his side since 14 March due to an injury he picked up against Gil Vicente in a league game.
Mensah missed the Black Stars Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome due to the injury.
The former Red Bull Salzberg left-back has resumed training with his side as he looks to gain match fitness for this weekend’s game.
The goal will certainly bring relief to Kamaldeen, who, following a strong start to the season, dipped in form as the regular season drew to a close last month.
His last goal, coming into Sunday s game, came against none other than AGF in November in what ended in a 3-1 home triumph.
His dip in form saw him lose his place in Ghana s squad for their November 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Sudan and for their recent Afcon qualifying matches against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
His latest goal takes his tally to five in 21 Superliga matches so far this term.

Ghanaian goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad
Ghanaian goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad believes he’s a man on a mission as he approaches his first game for King Faisal.
The youngster who’s currently rated the best youth goalkeeper across the continent has joined the Kumasi-based Ghana Premier League side, on loan from parent club Asante Kotoko for the second round of the season.
Danlad made the move as he seeks more game time which would have not been guaranteed at Kotoko due to the fierce competition within the goalkeeping department.
The player who recently returned from a brief stint with the Black Stars for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against South Africa and Sao Tome during the international break, turned up for his first training session with his new side on Wednesday.
