Syracuse, N.Y. -Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick and Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner announced that 4 teens have been indicted in the deadly shooting of 26-year-old Darren Rosa back on June 7.
Fitzpatrick says the teens 17 year old Atreyu Boykins, 16 year old, Jaeden Campbell, 17 year old Tahson Sampson, and 18 year old Anthony Dowdell all face several charges.
He said the suspects drove by Rosa’s house and fired at least nine shots from semi-automatic pistols. The 16 year old is believed to have fired the fatal shot.
Three of the four indicted face second degree murder charges.

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh along with Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner have signed off to extend the nuisance abatement order against the owners of Skyline Apartments for another year.
The extension adds new requirements that the owners, Green National, need to take to improve living and security conditions in the building. The conditions required installing security cameras, upgrading security locks and alarm systems on doors as well as bringing on onsite security 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The decision follows the tortuous death of 93-year-old Connie Tuori in her Apartment earlier this year.

At a time when Syracuse was facing financial disaster, Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner was awarded a 6% raise, a $5,000 bonus and other categories of pay that boosted his actual pay to about $175,000, city payroll records show.
After one year on the job, Buckner’s 2020 contract increased his base salary from $115,000 to $121,992. The raise was intended to bring his base pay in line with Fire Chief Michael Monds.
