UTC Women Drop Furman Behind Bria Dial s 19 Points Women Go To 2-0 In SoCon Play Friday, January 15, 2021 The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga ran its win streak to five games Friday night with a 68-56 win over Furman in Southern Conference women’s basketball action. UTC improved to 7-4 overall and 2-0 against the SoCon while Furman drops to 4-7 on the year and 0-2 in league play.   Bria Dial dropped in four of Chattanooga’s seven 3-pointers to lead the Mocs with 19 points and grabbed four steals. Eboni Williams and Abbey Cornelius chipped in 11 points apiece. Cornelius had four assists and Williams matched her career-high for steals with five to go along with three assists.

Vans' 12th Custom Culture Competition Launches

EVENTS By Dorothy Crouch | Wednesday, January 13, 2021 Now in its 12th installment, the Vans Custom Culture 2021 event launched recently, affording an opportunity for students to work with the skate and action-sports brand and win prize money to benefit their schools art programs. The Costa Mesa, Calif., Vans is asking students to submit digital shoe designs under the themes of Hometown Pride and Head in the Clouds. These themes are aimed at celebrating the neighborhoods that the schools serve and student hopes for the future. Prizes include a $50,000 top award that will support the winning school s art program, while runners up will receive $15,000 prizes. The top five schools will receive mentorship from one of Vans art ambassadors, such as Kelly Breez, Robin Eisenberg, Jay Howell, Todd Francis, Olivia Krause, Camilo Medina, Noah Humes, O.J. Hays, Tony Whlgn and Sydney James.

Jan 12, 2021 SPONSOR To kick off the new year, Vans invites all public and private high school students to take part in Vans Custom Culture 2021. Vans Custom Culture returns for its twelfth installment with a couple of new themes to match the current times. To reflect the state of the world, this year’s new topics are “Hometown Pride” and “Head in the Clouds.” Students will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and artistic abilities by submitting a unique digital shoe design that illustrates this year’s themes for a chance to win a grand prize of $50,000 for their high school’s art program. Runner ups will receive $15,000 and the top five schools will receive an artist mentorship lesson from one of Vans’ art ambassadors: Kelly Breez, Robin Eisenberg, Jay Howell, Todd Francis, Olivia Krause, Camilo Medina, Noah Humes, O.J.
