Canadian agribusiness Richardson International Limited announced Monday that a redevelopment project will start this year at its Swan River, MB facility to construct a new high throughput grain elevator. The new asset will replace a wood crib workhouse currently located at the site, which is operated by its subsidiary, Richardson Pioneer.
The project involves the addition of a new grain elevator with 36,600 mt of storage capacity, high-speed receiving and loadout capabilities, 4,600-sq-ft of office space, and a new grain cleaning system, according to a company release. Once operational, the site will also be able to load 150 rail cars on a loop track.
