Refusal for homes planned for a Tydd Gote field

Plans for four three-storey six bedroom homes proposed for part of an agricultural field in a rural village have been rejected.
Mr J Ellis of Grange Farm, Sutton James, wanted to build the homes, described in a design and access statement submitted in support of his plans as âhigh quality dwellingsâ on land west of Greenacres, Hannath Road, Tydd Gote,
However, an officersâs report on the application explains the plans are similar âin all respectsâ to a previously refused application in 2013, that was also dismissed on appeal.
It said the seven reasons for the previous refusal included: the scale of the development was greater than considered acceptable for the village, it would adversely affect the character and rural context of the area, the highway network and infra-structure were not suitable to provide access to the site, no justification given for the loss of grade
