Welcome to the slavery and freedom exhibition. Im mary elliott. Im a Museum Specialist and cokurater of the slavery and freedom exhibition, which is one of three exhibitions here in this museum. We actually have three exhibitions in this gallery, and those exhibitions cover 15th century africa and europe all the way through today. Some of the things we cover include holding on to humanity under some of the most inhumane conditions. We look at the harsh reality of slavery and freedom and the resistance and survival of a people. We look at how africans and africanamericans shape the world as well as the nation. We look at how they were shaped by the landscape and shaped the landscape. Its important to point out that means socially, politically, economically, geographically, culturally and intellectually. Whats very important for people to understand is throughout this museum we look at these stories that are american stories. Theyre human stories and theyre told through the africanameric

First, i agree with you, i would also expect a thorough review from my office. With that said, i cant commit to get all of them through by january 1st. Thats just not realistic because i dont know how much time it will take. But with that said, the security plan is defined in this ordinance is done in consultation with the Police Department and approved to the condition of the permit. We fully expect to develop rules and regulations associated with some of the plans. Many will not be developed and be public with long enough time frame to be put in place by january 1st for full transparency sake. With that said, those requirements through the rules and regulations would be applied in my mind, and i think through this legislation to article 16 permits. I think when it comes to the final final. [clearing throat] good afternoon, supervisors. My name is Michael Cohen and im one of the officers in the democratic club. I would that you not increase the footage from 600 feet to 1,000 feet. For for dispensaries from schools and Daycare Centers. This is this is really going to basically, in a city our size, and in a place and city where many areas of the city are just not allowing cannabis to be had, it is going to increase clustering. In the areas, in the neighborhoods where we already have dispensaries. So i plead with you. Please do not increase the limit. Also if you increase the limit from 600 feet to 1,000 feet, whats to prevent somebody who doesnt want a cannabis dispensary in their neighborhood from saying im going to start a Daycare Center in my neighborhood.
