Police went to the home in Amos, Que., about 485 kilometres northwest of Montreal, after someone raised concerns about the well-being of the occupants.
Quebec provincial police declined to offer further details and refused to comment on reports that Ian Lamontagne had been arrested and released two days before the killings.
