Some people really like the new method we had developed. The one by one method. I think because it was more orderly. Less interrupting and less of a freeforall. The lawyers had more of a chance to speak and get the arguments across. And also, i think all of us liked the fact that Justice Thomas was a very active artistic

Public polls have shown a decline in confidence in the court. Justice kagan made these comments during a conference in montana. It also follow the Supreme Court decision to overturn roe v. Wade that resulted in protest around the country. This runs about 50 minutes. Good morning, Justice Kagan, thank you for being here. We appreciate you have agreed to answer a few questions. We got sophisticated telephone equipment to put in our houses, and we did arguments there. Generally, we have a freeflowing argument where everybody interrupts everybody else, both the lawyers and the judges. We could not figure out how it could work when we could not see each other and when we were not any the same building, the same room. So, instead, we used a system where each of us got a few minutes, sometimes three, sometimes quattro, sometimes five. We went down the road i name in order of seniority. Justice thomas was the senior associate justice. Then all the way down the line. So, everybody would have their three or four minutes with the lawyer. I am trying to remember. It was so long ago. We had something we just all agreed to not any questions. We got to the end of that year. Then we decided we could go back to the courtroom. Is this working . It seems to be going
