In a shocking case, a body of a 40-year-old farmer was found with gunshot injury in a field in Uttar Pradesh s Badaun district on Friday.
Identified as Avnaish Kumar, the farmer had gone to his field in Behti village on Thursday night and he was found lying dead in the morning, police said.

In a spine-chilling incident, a 30-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed by her neighbour in Uttar Pradesh s Badaun district. The victim was also forced to consume acid.
However, police did not confirm charge of giving acid to the woman.
What had happened?
Satyendra Singh entered the house of Kajal at Kasimpur village in Kadar Chowk area late on Monday night, forced her to consume acid and was stabbed by him, according to a complaint by victim s family.

Two brothers were on Monday arrested here for allegedly killing their parents in Sanjapur Gulal village in the district last week to get ownership of their property, police said.
The accused, Sumit and Vikram, had killed their parents Rajendra (60) and Rajvati (55) on December 15 night by allegedly strangulating them and later setting them afire by putting plastic and other items over them, Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma said.
