Syracuse, N.Y. Upstate Medical University hospital is bracing for yet another big surge of Covid-19 patients over the next couple of weeks.
Dr. Robert Corona, the hospital’s chief executive officer, said the downtown and Community General campuses have about 170 Covid-19 patients now.
“With the Christmas surge, our epidemiologists are predicting we may get close to 250,” Corona said. “We’re pretty full right now and we’re struggling to try to figure out how to take care of patients.”
