KUALA LUMPUR: A 31-year-old babysitter was arrested after a three-month-old baby girl under her care died at her home near Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya recently, say police.
Labour is finite, especially in the context of Malaysia which has not had a demographic dividend since two decades ago. Malaysian employers and policy makers need a paradigm shift to invest in productivity and to be willing to pay for skills.
PETALING Jaya is Selangor's most populous city and oldest planned township. At almost 70 years old, the city has gathered a lot of unique and interesting stories along the way but one thing that strikes most visitors, is its somewhat 'unimaginative' street and neighbourhood names. While PJ-ites would be loath to have any of their street names changed, it's fair to admit that the numerical naming convention can be intimidating to outsiders. While some neighbourhoods are called Sections (e.g Section 1), others like SS2 use a double-S instead. Some have guessed that it means Sub Section but it actually stands for Sungai Way-Subang.
