As troubling world events continue to swirl, Church leaders are sharing messages on optimism and endurance. Elder Quentin L. Cook teaches how we can live on “the sunny side of the street,” and Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf reminds us that no matter how dark the night, the sun will always rise again. Sisters Michelle D. Craig and Becky Craven (in separate posts) both used Doctrine and Covenants 64:33–34 to encourage members to “be not weary in well doing.” Here is a closer look at some of those messages, as well as other highlights from Church leaders this week.

Pittsfield in 2020 addressed social issues such as police reform, inclusivity, and domestic violence, along with a worldwide pandemic. In June, following weeks of worldwide protests over the deaths of George Floyd in Minneapolis and Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Ky., at the hands of police, Pittsfield began to look at the Police Department’s use of force policy and saw a number of rallies and protests against police violence.

was actually his solution to quote, saving the economy. again, that s not what we heard today at the white house, what we heard was our commander campaigner in chief reverting back into election mode and blaming republicans and using pathetic scare tactics to smear the opposition. sound familiar? you ve heard the fear mongering, what i m about to play is only described as obama s mayen apocalypse, have you questioning whether or not the sun will rise next friday if in fact the sequester takes hold. here is more of the fear mongering and we hanitized this comment a little bit. now, congress allows this meat cleaver approach to take place, it will jeopardize our military readiness. what kind of training, son. training sir. it will eviscerate job training investments and training. i m registered for this
