Two men have died while fishing for abalone off the Perth coast on Saturday morning amid rough sea conditions marked by unusually strong currents.
Sea rescuers were called in to assist a man after he was pulled out of the water unconscious at Mettams Pool in North Beach, a popular stretch of coast among abalone harvesters.
