exactly. good morning, guys. chilly across parts of florida. they re certainly trying to protect things down in the south across the sunshine state. temperatures right now in orlando, 29 degrees that, is subfreezing, and that s not good news for the citrus crops up there. other temperatures across the southeast, 23 in atlanta, it s 26 right now in birmingham, 26, 24 degrees in jackson. so you re looking at another day of probably records being broken across much of the southeast. another day of snow piling up across the great lakes. toasty waters there, frigid air on top of that, and the combination makes for quite a bit of lake effect snow. 35 degrees the expected high temperature in new york, could be worse, a couple of snow flurries, 22 degrees in chicago. we ll go over the longer range forecast, which well, it s pretty chilly. and you know, we re heading into the heart of winter. so you would expect it to get colder. but it might get even colder

martha: it s a big story of the weekend, a deadly winter storm slammed into the south and mid atlantic seaboard. in north carolina, where they are not used to these kind of temperatures, subfreezing, and that formed black ice on the roads there, made it very hard to get out and about this morning for school or work. the mountains got more than a foot of snow in north carolina, the governor there says that the storm is responsible for taking the lives of at least four people in his state. right now, the storm is heading out to sea, but the troubles are not over. forecasters are now predicting freezing rain tonight and into tomorrow, then another storm may hit north carolina later in the week. so boy, the folks in north carolina are having a tough time of it, so we re going to continue to tell them to keep an eye on it for them. bill: the good news is it melts quickly. martha: that s true. roll this, real quick, watch this.
