For several years, there has been a lesser representation of black designers in the interior design industry but the fewer numbers have risen to be icons, thanks to their hard work and sweat which have paved the way for generation of black interior designs. But aside lesser inclusivity and representation, the undying culture of tokenism and underpayment still stands immensely forcing black designers to speak up for themselves. We sat down with 4 interior designers who shared their pivot in design, successes, struggles and their advice to the next generation of interior designers.
