Vaccines were available without appointments until 6 p.m. for Memphians who fell into current eligibility groups, the city announced Tuesday afternoon.
Around 5:40 p.m., the city opened up the Appling site to any person interested in a vaccine, rather than just to people who were in eligibility groups. Anyone, regardless of age or eligibility group, could go to the Appling site, at 2355 Appling Cove, until 6:30 p.m. to get a Pfizer dose. The site had 100 Pfizer doses available, and all were used by 6:55 p.m., the city said in a tweet.
