Northern Territory Declares Seven More Sydney Suburbs as COVID-19 Hotspots The Northern Territory has declared seven more Sydney postcodes to be coronavirus hotspots in the wake of emerging cases across the harbour city. The ruling applies from Thursday and involves the suburbs of Croydon, Croydon Park, Lilli Pilli, Strathfield, Strathfield North, Strathfield South and Sutherland. Anyone from them or Sydney’s northern beaches arriving in the Territory must complete 14 days of supervised quarantine. Acting Chief Minister Nicole Manison said Sydney hotspot residents already in the NT and who arrived on or after Christmas Day must also self isolate for two weeks and get tested.

Date Time NSW hotspot update 30 December The NT Chief Health Officer has declared the following areas in Sydney as COVID-19 Hotspots for the purposes of travel to the Northern Territory from 00:01am on 31 December 2020. The suburbs of Croydon, Croydon Park, Lilli Pilli, North Strathfield, Strathfield, Strathfield South and Sutherland in New South Wales. Anyone travelling to the Northern Territory who has been in a currently declared hotspot must undertake 14 days of mandatory, supervised quarantine at the Alice Springs or Howard Springs quarantine facilities at a cost of $2,500 per person. If you are intending to travel to the Northern Territory from a COVID-19 hotspot you are advised to rethink your plans. The NT will add Croydon, Croydon Park, Lilli Pilli, Strathfield, Strathfield North, Strathfield South, and Sutherland to its hotspot list as of 12:01 Wednesday night. Chief Health Officer Dr Hugh Heggie says the new emerging cluster poses some risk to the territory . There is risk of travel from there, both now and also over the last recent days and into the future, where that virus could spread to the territory, Dr Heggie said.
