CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The FBI confirmed to 19 News that non-human bones were found during the latest search for leads in connection to the case involving Ashley Summers, who was last seen in 2007.
According to the FBI, efforts to locate clues in the cold case started on Tuesday morning along Train Avenue in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood.
The most recent site where federal agents searched was believed to be near Summers’ last known location, according to Vicki Anderson, of the FBI.

(Cleveland) - Cleveland Police are investigating the discovery of a man s body under a burning mattress on the city s west side.
Police say that just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, they were called out to the corner of West 41st and Train Avenue in Ohio City, where they were met by members of Cleveland Fire. Fire was called out for a report of a vehicle on fire. When firefighters arrived, they saw a mattress on fire. After putting that fire out, a man s body was found underneath.
The Police Homicide Unit, and the Fire Division s Arson Unit are both investigating. Nobody has been arrested. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will determine the man s identity, and how he died.
