It's been held by the Conservatives since the seats creation in 1974. Often dubbed 'Tory Town', it's hard to believe it could ever be any other way. But, local council elections and national polls show that the Conservatives may be losing their way, and suggest that this constituency may no longer be theirs to keep at the next General Election.
