To the bbc news at one. Theresa may has confirmed that a retired high courtjudge, sir Martin Moore Bick, has been chosen to lead the Public Inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire. Sir martin this morning promised a vigorous inquiry that gets to the truth and said he understood the desire of local people for justice. The Prime Minister told mps that she expects he will produce an interim report as early as possible into the tragedy, in which 80 people are now presumed to have died.
