Widespread showers and storms will be occurring just to our west over the Texas/Louisiana border and northern Louisiana Tuesday. These storms will eventually make their way eastward Tuesday night through Wednesday ahead of a cold front. There will be the potential for scattered severe storms over the Lower Mississippi Valley where the majority of the viewing area is placed under an enhanced risk (3/5) for severe weather in orange below.
A cold front will be approaching the region late Monday and will likely bring a line of showers and storms out ahead of it. There is the chance that a few storms may become strong to severe. An Enhanced Risk (3/5) is placed over northern/northwestern areas while a Slight Risk (2/5) is placed over the rest of Southeast Louisiana.
