After my last report, bpd came back to us and said the scene at youngkey way is responsible for that one death and two people injured. Initially we said one person had died and three people had suffered nonlifethreatening injuries. Now only two of those are tied to this particular scene. As you can see, the scene is still active right outside fenway park on youngkey way. Police tape roped off a good portion from van necessary to brookline a block and a half away. The person killed was a man in his late 20s. Police continue to investigate and right outside fenway park at yong keyway between van necessary and down the block where it intersects with brookline. There was a private function going on and patrolmen, officers on patrol right in this area and they heard the gunshot and respond gunshot and responded right away. They were greeted with a mass of people. Police say hundreds started fleeing the area and that is when the officer saw the one man who was pronounced dead on the scene and two other people were also taken to the hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. The officers heard the shots, ran over and found one man in his late 20s suffering from a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
