Federal Supply is one of the businesses U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Highland Park, had in mind when he and three of his colleagues began the Congressional Family Business Caucus earlier this month in Washington, D.C. to focus on issues of generational, family-owned businesses.
“We call this is a triple-threat storm, with cold, snow and wind,” Alex Carr, the Lake County deputy communications officer, said. “Combine all three things and you’re going to get a potentially dangerous winter storm.”
Officials from North Chicago School District 187 and AbbVie, as well as other community and professional groups cut the ribbon to open the new Neal middle school Wednesday in North Chicago giving students a modern learning environment unique to Lake County and beyond.
Voters can cast ballots at their designated polling site in Lake County between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, making choices which may determine if Democrats continue their hold on elective offices in the county established in the 2018 midterm election, or if the GOP will make gains.
