abc s eva pilgrim leading us off, she was in the courtroom again today. reporter: tonight, the fate of alex murdaugh, accused of shooting his wife and son to death, now in the hands of the jury. you are the judges, judges of the facts. reporter: but just hours before deliberations, a dramatic twist. the judge dismissing a juror for misconduct after learning she had talked to friends about the case. this juror, unfortunately, violated that order. reporter: with an alternate juror stepping in, the defense then making their final case for alex murdaugh. alex murdaugh is innocent. reporter: murdaugh s team painting a picture of a botched investigating, and saying murdaugh didn t have time to kill his wife maggie and son paul, and get rid of the evidence. he s got 17 minutes. 17 minutes. he would have to be a magician to make all that evidence disappear. reporter: the defense arguing
