saying there s a crazy guy with a gun...he s yelling and screaming saying he s gonna shoot everybody witnesses describe it like a hostage situation. everyone dropping to the floor..hiding from the gunman scanner traffic 7-14 if you could instruct them to stay low in the building one woman says her daughter was at the drive-thru window when gun fire erupted. kim plank, mom of witness she said guy came in with a gun...she got down.and then when she had a second...she jumped out the window of the drive thru medin says he knew it was all over when the gunman looked at all the other customers. but his gun jammed after he tried to reload so he didnt try to shoot anybody else so everybody else was safe that witness you just heard from a few times says he also tried to perform cpr on the victim.but had no luck. police say the suspect has criminal history and should not have been carrying a gun this afternoon. gina lazara 13 action news local police say they are on high alert

tooth decay is the single national epidemic is appalachia. 13-action news meets a hero he s using his own money to care for more than 43-thousand kids and their teeth. reporter pkg-as follows (music) i was born and raised i ve been here all my life. it s a special place but there s jaw-dropping poverty too. people are in great need. (nats) i ve been practicin dentistry 27 years. when i was first starting. i saw a lot of patients who hadn t seen a dentist before. i would see a lot of kids who had a mouth full of rotting teeth. it was heartbreaking to see these kids who were in pain. they wouldn t smile. (music) once i was exposed to we turned a trailer into a mobile dental clinic. we go to the schools. we see any children who want to be seen. (nats) we provide free checkups.
