Louisiana s thirty-fifth state house district is represented by Republican Representative Brett Geymann.
Louisiana state representatives represent an average of 43,175 residents. After the 2000 Census, each member represented 42,562 residents.
About the chamber
[1] The Louisiana House of Representatives is one of the five state legislative lower houses whose members are elected to four-year terms, as opposed to the more common two-year term. Louisiana legislators assume office at noon on the second Monday in January after their election.
Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be a resident of Louisiana for a minimum of two years and a resident of the district they seek to represent for one year.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The qualifying phase for this month’s special election for the State Representative seat for District 35 began Wednesday and continues through today.
The special election will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, to fill the unexpired term of Stephen Dwight.
Brett Geymann, who previously held the seat from 2003 until 2015, formally entered the race Wednesday.

BATON ROUGE - Details regarding February and Spring elections, which are already just around the corner, are being addressed by state leaders.
According to The Advocate, Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin would like to see an emergency plan for the February and Spring elections that have similarities to this past Fall s election process.
For example, Ardoin wants the upcoming elections to include the expansion of absentee mail voting allowed, but without additional days for early voting.
