Richmond Dales Amateur Swimming Club A SWIMMING club has launched a fundraising campaign in a bid to secure its future – and will be match-funded by Sport England if it reaches £10,000 target. Richmond Dales Amateur Swimming Club, based at Richmond Swimming Pool, has launched its 10k for 10k appeal this week. Sarah Johnson, fundraising secretary for the club, said: At the point of the first lockdown our swimming squads were just preparing for our April Fools gala, which raises vital funds every year for the club, and ensures that swim fees are kept at an accessible level. We also subsequently had to cancel a further two main fundraising swimming competitions, and in total have lost more than £20,000 in revenue this year due to the cancellation of these events.
