The 65th annual Grammys gala began Sunday in Los Angeles with a performance from reggaeton megastar Bad Bunny, as top nominee Beyonce was poised to break the all-time record for the most awards ever.
Her love letter to club music "Renaissance" propelled her to the front of the Grammy pack with nine nominations, and she won two trophies in the pre-show.
She has several more chances as the main show begins, and will become the winningest artist ever if she wins two more.
Bad Bunny is another A-lister up for major awards, along with Taylor Swift, Adele and Harry Styles.
