Two dogs and two cats are currently being cared for by volunteers at Chesterfield RSPCA centre.
Charlie is a handsome male Lhasa Apso who is six years old and has taken some time to settle in the kennels and trust the staff. Stephanie Billen, the centre’s supporter engagement officer, said: “He is slowly but surely coming around and showing us his wonderful little personality.
Poppy the Jack Russell terrier has diabetes and requires a special diet. The 11-year-old is a happy little dog who loves being with people. Stephanie said: “She is looking for someone who is willing to take on the responsibility for her condition but she will return your kindness with lots and lots of love.”
