Kota Kinabalu: An entertainment outlet manager, three Chinese citizen employees and 50 customers were compounded a total of RM275,000 for violating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at an entertainment outlet in Waterfront, Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, on Sunday.

Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief, Asst Commissioner Mohd Zaidi Abdullah, said the operation was carried out at 9.30pm by the Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division (D7) and the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division (BSJN), Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters (IPD).

LABUAN: A foreigner was killed in an accident at Jalan Pohon Batu, near Simpang Lajau 28, at 7pm, Sunday.
Labuan Police Chief DSP Ahmad Jawila said the incident was reported by passers-by. He said the 47-year-old motorcyclist was found lying on the road and medical officers who arrived at the scene confirmed the victim had died on the spot.
“The victim was believed to be renting with his family in Kg. Patau-Patau 2 and is believed to be riding the motorcycle from the town center towards Pohon Batu.

“The victim slipped after hitting the right side of the road divider before crashing on a lamppost,” he said, adding that the victim was taken to the Labuan Nucleus Hospital Forensic Unit for autopsy.

PENAMPANG: The district police permit food deliverers to enter Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) areas subject to strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Penampang Police Chief DSP Mohd Haris Ibrahim said the matter depended on the police’s discretion like at Beverly Hills Phase 2 where they (deliverers) were allowed to deliver food to the ground floor.
“There is no specific ban on food delivery into EMCO areas. However, food deliverers are subject to strict SOPs. They are not allowed to go upstairs or deliver to the doorsteps.
