The Ukrainian troops holding various defensive positions in Severodonetsk have been forced to retreat, marking the end of the Battle for Severodonetsk and the Russian advance into the city.
The Russian forces issued an ultimatum to the Ukrainian forces in the Azot Chemical Plant and Severodonetsk to surrender. To the surprise of no one, Ukraine refused this ultimatum and kept fighting.
