The U.S. Forest Service s Pikes Peak Ranger District will be
closing a portion of Mt. Herman Road (Forest Service Road 320) from May 17-28 for road maintenance and repairs. The closure will extend from Red Rocks Drive for about 5 miles to the intersection of Forest Service Road 320A, for all uses, motorized and non-motorized. This includes the popular Mt. Herman Trail (trail 716), and also the Monument Trail (trail 715) from the trailhead near the end of Schilling Road to about a mile north of where it crosses Mt. Herman Road, west of the Mt. Herman Trailhead. The closures include 100 feet to either side of Mt. Herman Road and trail 715.
