The State Street Promenade is going through some changes in the first part of 2022 to make room for emergency responders. Many businesses will have to change their outside patio size.
Another block closure in downtown Santa Barbara could impact police and fire response times. Both departments are against shutting down the stretch between Haley St. and Gutierrez.
