COLOMBO (News 1st); Korean Ambassador to Sri Lanka Santhush Woonjin called on Attorney General Dappula De Livera on Tuesday (11) to discuss enhancing legal cooperation and assistance between the two countries.

COLOMBO (News 1st); Attorney General Dappula De Livera has concluded action in 27,206 Criminal Cases during his Tenure from May 2019 to May 2021.

Colombo (News 1st); Attorney General Dappula De Livera has requested the Chief Justice to appoint a Trial-at-Bar to try 17 people connected to the incident of causing damage to Buddha Statues in Mawanella in 2018.
State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne, the Coordinating Officer to the Attorney General said the AGs Department also filed indictments with the Kegalle High Court against the accused under the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
The main accused are Naufer Moulawi, Ibrahim Moulawi, Mohammed Sajid, Mohammed Sahid, Sadik Abdullah, Sainul Abdeen, Mohammed Milhan & 9 others.
