But those officers had no idea that somebody was going to open fire on them. We understand that this all unfolded on the 3rd floor. They came there according to investigators. If you take a look across the street there you see the investigation into this shooting is still ongoing. 2 officers were taken to the hospital suspect also hospitalized. The neighbors here were left shaken. According to the San Jose Police Department Officers were called here to the 6100 block of san ignacio avenue on reports of a disturbance around 10, 30 thursday evening. When they arrived on scene, they found an adult male suspect who fired shots at them, injuring 2 officers. Police returned fire and wounded the suspect who was then taken into custody.
