from the city to the counties to your neighborhood, now is complete coverage. it s wjz, maryland s news station. wicked weather. tornadoes tear through the plains. tonight, the danger zone expands. very dramatic video coming in tonight. good evening, and thank you for joining us. right now, the midwest is under the gun for more than a dozen possible tornadoes there. with wjz, the storms are on the move. have a large tornado now. reporter: it could be a high event affecting 5 1/2 million americans this weekend, from texas to minnesota. this is a multiday event, now under way and potentially a very serious situation. reporter: the national weather service confirmed at least two tornadoes touched down in oklahoma. the damage could have been much worse. this is the fence right there. reporter: a twister touched down friday near the university of oklahoma. the damage was fairly minimal and only minor injuries were reported. forecasters urge people to be vigilant. m
